    The U.S. Department of Agriculture is “undervaluing” the hemp industry, relying on “flawed” market research in a way that could be “inadvertently hurting the very same farmers they are trying to regulate,” according to a new analysis from Whitney Economics.

    The Oregon attorney general issued a certified ballot title for an initiative to legalize marijuana social lounges that activists want to put before voters in 2026.

    As a new Texas law allowing patients to access medical cannabis for chronic pain launches, a poll shows that 91 percent of marijuana consumers say it is effective in helping to manage pain.

    A New York judge delayed a hearing in a lawsuit challenging regulators’ interpretation of marijuana business zoning rules to give the parties more time to discuss a potential settlement.

    Oregon regulators filed changes to psilocybin services rules.

    Rhode Island regulators finalized repeal of outdated cannabis rules.

    Washington State regulators published overviews of cannabis legislation enacted this year.

    Colorado regulators will hold a hearing about proposed changes to medical cannabis rules on October 15.
