    Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency is touting the cancellation of a $699,000 National Institutes of Health grant to support research on marijuana use by women and sexual minority gender diverse individuals.

    The Minnesota Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee approved a bill to expand eligibility for expungement and resentencing of marijuana-related criminal records.

    The New Mexico Senate passed a bill to create a therapeutic psilocybin program by legalizing the active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms for use in a supervised medical setting.

    The Missouri Senate Families, Seniors and Health Committee approved a bill to allow military veterans and survivors of sex trafficking who have certain mental health conditions to legally access psilocybin therapy.

    The Nevada Senate Legislative Operations and Elections Committee held a hearing on a psychedelics resolution calling on the federal government to “reschedule psilocybin, psilocin, DMT, ibogaine, mescaline and MDMA to a schedule that better reflects the therapeutic value, low potential for abuse and safety for use under medical supervision of those compounds.”

    AAA released new research showing that marijuana consumers respond better to anti-impaired driving messaging that’s rooted in “realistic” portrayals of the issue that appeal to personal responsibility and avoid stoner stereotypes.

    A new study concludes that Atlanta, Georgia’s local cannabis decriminalization policy “led to a reduction in violent crime, likely due to police reallocating resources from marijuana enforcement to violent crime prevention.”

    Idaho lawmakers voted to put a proposed constitutional amendment on the 2026 ballot that would block voters from being able to legalize marijuana via initiative by making it so only the legislature could end prohibition.

    The Dover Air Force Base sent a warning to service members not to use marijuana and hemp products.

    Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted, “Rodrigo Duterte terrorized the Filipino people with his war on drugs, overseeing the killings of thousands. Today, he was arrested and sent to the ICC to face justice for crimes against humanity. This is long overdue justice.”

    The New Jersey Assembly Health Committee approved a bill to add sickle cell anemia as a medical cannabis qualifying condition.

    Kansas lawmakers introduced legislation to legalize marijuana for medical and recreational use.

    North Carolina senators filed a bill to restrict consumable hemp products.

    California regulators announced a recall of marijuana products due to incomplete and incorrect regulatory compliance testing.

    Massachusetts marijuana regulators sent a press release about their budget request.
