    Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk joked about smoking marijuana on a podcast to boost views, a reference to when Musk consumed cannabis during an interview with Joe Rogan.

    The Delaware Office of the Marijuana Commissioner acknowledged that the launch of the recreational cannabis market may be delayed amid a dispute with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which says the state’s fingerprint background check application doesn’t “qualify pursuant to federal law.”

    California’s Supreme Court delivered a victory for the state’s marijuana program, rescinding a lower court ruling in a case that suggested federal prohibition could be used locally to undermine the cannabis market.

    The Hawaii Senate Health and Human Services and Commerce and Consumer Protection Committees approved an amended bill to expand access to medical cannabis by letting healthcare professionals recommend it for any condition they deem “appropriate.”

    A federal judge ordered Utah police to return psilocybin mushrooms they seized from a religious group that uses the psychedelic fungi as sacrament.

    The company behind Edible Arrangements is entering the cannabis market by launching a new delivery service for hemp products.

    A new study shows that four out of ten military veterans with chronic pain use medical cannabis to manage their symptoms, with top indications being “pain or mobility (81%), sleep (62%), PTSD or anxiety (43%), stress (43%), and depression (29%).”

    Pennsylvania’s Republican Senate majority leader said he does “not see a prevailing view for legalization of recreational marijuana within our caucus.”

    The Tennessee House Criminal Justice Subcommittee is scheduled to hold a hearing on a marijuana legalization bill on Wednesday.

    A California assemblymember plans to file a bill to freeze planned cannabis tax increases. Separately, regulators announced a recall of marijuana products due to incomplete and incorrect regulatory compliance testing.

    New York regulators approved additional marijuana business licenses and advanced proposed rules on cannabis packaging, labeling, marketing and advertising.

    Oregon regulators published a report finding that “many hemp products sold in Oregon exceed legal THC limits, often lack proper labeling and are being sold without adequate age verification.”

    Colorado regulators published average market rates for unprocessed retail marijuana.
