    The Food and Drug Administration is facing a Tuesday deadline in hemp recriminalization legislation signed by President Donald Trump to publish lists of cannabinoids in the plant and issue guidance on the term ‘container’” with respect to hemp product THC serving sizes.

    Marijuana reform advocates are hoping that a scheduled appearance by Attorney General Pam Bondi before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday will be an opportunity to get an update on where the cannabis rescheduling process stands.

    Pennsylvania House Democrats are calling on the Republican-controlled Senate to follow their lead in passing a marijuana legalization bill as Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) called for in his budget request.

    The Virginia Senate Education and Health Committee approved a bill to allow patients to access medical cannabis in hospitals—but only if the federal government moves forward with a pending plan to reschedule marijuana.

    Some Ohio cannabis industry operators are opposing an effort to put a referendum on the ballot to block marijuana and hemp restrictions from taking effect—saying they want to close “loopholes” on intoxicating products while accepting the recriminalization of some consumer activity.

    Former St. Louis, Missouri police sergeant Gary Wiegert authored an op-ed explaining why “many police chiefs, sheriffs and prosecutors across the country support President Donald Trump’s decision to change how cannabis is classified.”

    The Drug Enforcement Administration is seeking to extend its policy on pre-employment drug policy notification and acknowledgement.

    Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) touted the cancellation of funds to support research on cannabis use among sexual minority and gender-diverse individuals during a Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee hearing.

    Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) cheered the passage of legislation containing provisions to address Chinese-linked illicit marijuana growing operations.

    Ohio’s attorney general filed a lawsuit accusing multistate cannabis businesses of engaging in anti-competitive conduct to reduce product choice and keep prices artificially high.

    New Jersey’s Assembly speaker appointed a new member to the Cannabis Regulatory Commission.

    Kansas lawmakers filed several marijuana reform bills.

    A West Virginia senator filed a bill to reschedule marijuana under state law.

    California regulators announced a recall of marijuana products due to inaccurate ingredient labeling.

    Colorado regulators issued a health and safety bulletin about marijuana products with yeast, mold and aspergillus above acceptable limits.

    Texas regulators are moving to renew emergency hemp product rules.

    Nevada marijuana sales generated nearly $96 million for the State Education Fund in FIscal Year 2025.

    The North Carolina Advisory Council on Cannabis will meet on Tuesday.
