The Department of Justice has no “comment or updates” on the cannabis rescheduling process, a spokesperson told Marijuana Moment—more than a month after President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to complete the process “in the most expeditious manner.”

Reps. Jack Bergman (R-MI) and Lou Correa (D-CA) filed a bill directing the Department of Veterans Affairs to carry out clinical trials on the therapeutic efficacy of “innovative treatments and emerging therapies”—including psychedelics such as ibogaine, 5-MeO-DMT, ketamine and psilocybin.

The Delaware Senate voted to override Gov. Matt Meyer’s (D) veto of a marijuana bill to block restrictive  business zoning rules in counties.

Kennedy Jr. reacted to advocates’ frustration about the lack of Trump administration progress on psychedelics reform by saying he “shares the goal of ensuring that all Americans—especially our nation’s veterans—have access to safe and effective treatments for conditions such as PTSD, addiction, and depression.”

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) posted a video pushing back on the notion that marijuana legalization can raise revenue to support programs.

    / STATES

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) said he is open to having conversations about allowing hemp-infused drinks, but that he will “go in with a bias” and said the products are “not necessarily comparable to alcohol.”

The Florida Senate Criminal Justice Committee approved a bill to decriminalize drug testing products.

New Mexico senators are dedicating portions of their budget allotments to the Medical Psilocybin Treatment Equity Fund.

Wisconsin senators discussed their support for regulating cannabinoid products.

Washington State regulators sent a newsletter with updates on various cannabis issues.

Rhode Island regulators will host a listening session about cannabis beverages on Monday.
