    A subsidiary of the marijuana business Jushi Holdings Inc. is suing DoorDash, Total Wine & More and other companies for allegedly violating Virginia hemp laws by marketing cannabis products that exceed the legal THC limit.

    The New Hampshire House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee approved a marijuana legalization bill despite opposition from Gov. Kelly Ayotte (R).

    A new poll of Kansas residents found that 59 percent support recreational marijuana legalization, 70 percent want to legalize medical cannabis and 65 percent said they are “highly likely” or “somewhat likely” to vote for a political candidate who backs medical marijuana legalization.

    The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission approved its first license for a vertically integrated marijuana operation—a development that comes as state officials in Nebraska are taking steps to scale back medical cannabis legalization laws passed by voters at the ballot.

    A new federally funded study conducted by Oregon Public Health Division officials found that “odds of heavy alcohol use were lower with greater cannabis retail access, primarily among 21-24 and 65+ year olds”—”consistent with a substitution hypothesis” where people choose marijuana instead of drinking.

    An Ohio judge extended a temporary restraining order on Gov. Mike DeWine’s (R) executive order banning sales of intoxicating hemp products, preventing it from going into effect until at least December 2.

    Wyoming’s hemp product restrictions were upheld by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

    Maine regulators issued a recall of marijuana products with unsafe levels of a pesticide.

    California regulators inadvertently placed a hold on certain marijuana products.

    Illinois regulators published guidance about changes to marijuana tax rates.

    Oklahoma regulators launched a new medical cannabis licensing portal.

    Missouri regulators issued an alert about the health risks of 7-OH.

    A former German health minister tweeted, “The legalization of cannabis has not led to an increase in consumption, not even among young people. Cannabis consumers are not criminals and should not have to rely on dealings with criminals either. We finally need successes with hard drugs.”
