That’s it, we call it: weed is mainstream now. Dare we say normie? Sure, it’s still illegal in a ridiculous number of countries; but in places where you can safely light one up, marijuana is rapidly entering the realm of everyday life. So much so that cannabis-themed weddings have become fashionable, including perks like giving weed to guests (both knowingly and secretly; the latter is morally reprehensible, not to mention dangerous, and we don’t recommend it at all).

An example of this is actors Alison Brie and Dave Franco. The couple is currently in the midst of the premiere of Together, a horror film that portrays a relationship riddled with, let’s say, attachment issues. In a recent interview with Variety, they shared a bit about their 2017 wedding.

Apparently, after a very small, family-oriented ceremony, the couple hosted a party for 60 of their friends at Pizzeria Mozza. And alongside the pizza, there was free marijuana.

“We wanted people to let loose and go crazy. Much more than they did,” Franco said. “We were handing out weed pens, which just led to everyone bringing home multiple to-go pizzas.”

“That was our parting gift,” Brie added. “Personal pizzas.”

Ah, yes. Cannabis has many effects, but above all, the munchies reign supreme. Even more so if we’re somewhere that makes pizzas, which we can take home for free.

Thus, the couple admitted to having a perfect wedding. Without grand aspirations or any desire for a massive ceremony: “We did it exactly how we wanted,” Franco concluded. “In a cheesy way, that ended up being one of the best days of our lives.”

All they needed was the company of their loved ones, pizza, and weed. What more could you ask for in life?
