    / TOP THINGS TO KNOW

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) tweeted, “When nothing else is working for our veterans, we owe it to them to try what might. At today’s @HouseCommerce Health hearing, I asked @HHSgov @SecKennedy for a status update on psychedelic research for PTSD and TBI. Glad to hear the Trump Administration is on board — and that results continue to be strong. I passed legislation to fund more clinical trials two years ago — and I can’t wait to see where the science goes.”

Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) tweeted about the passage of his amendment to encourage psychedelic therapy access for military veterans, saying, “Every day, veterans return home from battle, many still with invisible wounds. As co-chair of the PATH caucus, I’m fighting to revolutionize the way we treat PTSD. The science is showing that psychedelics offer game-changing results.”

Delaware lawmakers sent Gov. Matt Meyer (D) a bill to limit counties’ zoning restrictions on marijuana businesses.

A Texas representative who voted for a bill to ban consumable hemp products with any amount of THC said he’s “glad” it was vetoed, claiming that he and other lawmakers agreed to advance it so that their other priorities could “also move forward in the Senate.”
