    A new poll and analysis from Bloomberg Intelligence shows that three out of four young adults are using cannabis as an alternative to alcohol at least once a week.

    The Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed a bill to strengthen safety standards and oversight of the state’s medical cannabis program through enhanced compliance testing, product audits, statistical analyses and lab inspections.

    The Hawaii House Health Committee amended and approved a Senate-passed bill to support clinical research on psychedelic-assisted therapies using substances such as psilocybin and MDMA.

    A Texas senator filed a bill to support research on “the use of psychedelic therapies for treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and other co-occurring conditions.”

    The New York Office of Cannabis Management is now accepting applications for a $5 million grant program to help businesses run by people harmed by prior marijuana criminalization through reimbursements for expenses such as point-of-sale systems, security hardware and insurance.

    A new study found that using a “mouthwash containing cannabidiol (CBD) and spilanthol has been demonstrated to maintain the homeostasis of the oral microbiome, thereby reducing the levels of bacteria that can affect periodontal health.”

    The Idaho House Health and Welfare Committee held a hearing on a bill to legalize medical cannabis, taking testimony from an Air Force veteran with stage four cancer who wants to use marijuana as an opioid alternative.

    The Florida Senate Agriculture Committee held a hearing on a bill to restrict intoxicating hemp products while regulating hemp-infused drinks—with liquor industry representatives testifying in support.

    The Drug Enforcement Administration ignored internal warnings about the legality of its mass phone data collection program, according to a report from the Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General.

    Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported a Wisconsin woman to Laos over a marijuana conviction.

    Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) said that “so far, the actions of this administration have not matched President Trump’s previous rhetoric in support of cannabis rescheduling.”

    Wyoming paid $150,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by a hemp farmer who claimed her crop was improperly seized by law enforcement based on erroneous allegations she grew and trafficked marijuana.

    Missouri regulators posted the latest episode of their cannabis podcast.

    Nevada regulators will consider marijuana business issues on Thursday.
